Maybe its the stigma of racism and not actual racism holding us back now?

Before everybody gets to cussing me out and calling me sell-out at least read my reasons for saying this outrageous thing.
This article started writing itself in my head one afternoon after lunch in the Spanish ghetto across the bridge from my African American ghetto. I started noticing that over in the Hispanic ghetto, things were a little more shiny and clean and that the police didn’t stop you for driving black so much. I also noticed that you could walk around and shop and even have picnics in the park, without getting robbed or harassed. It really started hanging around with me, I just could not stop thinking about the major differences between my ghetto and their ghetto. What is it that makes others subjected to america’s racial attitude more able to deal with it than us black folks. I mean we have been here longer and we are still behind Hispanics in succeeding.
I thought about this day in and day out for near bout two weeks until it finally hit me, It was as obvious and simple as to make me wonder, why the hell no one had figured it out before me. Why were we still hindering each other in our quest to make it in our neighborhoods? Why were we still accepting the head-busting and racial inequities from the police? Why were we still angry when we looked at others just like us who had succeeded or moved on to a better station than ourselves? Why were we still allowing ourselves to be scared into not venturing out after 10:00 pm. I could not figure out the difference for the life of me, literally almost.
Then it hit me. It was a shock to fully see this questions answer, right in front of my tan but still black face. It was us, it was us all along. We unlike our Hispanic brothers and sisters and the other races stereotyped and “lowered” by the outlook of white America. We are the only race of people who actually sub-consciencly believe that we are what the racists and other ignorant parts of the population tell us subtly that we are. Think about it.
Here are a few examples of why I now know this is true.
1. We buy the most expensive clothes and shoes, almost to the point of insanity. I know at least 15 people that own $40,000 cars but no business or residence. I also see that that is our way of saying to the world, “look at me I am not your average useless poor black person. Basically I am not just a racial epitaph but a racial epitaph with fine clothes and jewelry. Somewhere our whole race fell under Stockholm’s syndrome (I think that’s the name) We started identifying with those that meant us harm, instead of those that stood with us against this awful racism. We started to believe the hype.
